          Safety information

Fenrir is a central figure in Norse mythology, who is primarily documented in the Prose Edda and the Song Edda. Fenrir is the son of Loki, the god of chaos, and the giantess Angrboda. He is a huge, uncontrollable wolf, whose fate is closely linked to the Norse eschatology, Ragnarรถk.

Even as a puppy, the gods began to fear Fenrir, knowing that he would play a central role in the coming apocalypse. In the Edda it is told that the gods tried to capture Fenrir to keep him under control. They bound him with chains that grew stronger all the time, but Fenrir broke free from them all. Finally, the gods created the magical chain Gleipnir, which was made of the most incredible materials, to bind the wolf. Fenrir understood this to be a trick and agreed to be bound if one of the gods put their hand in his gap. The god Tyr sacrificed his hand to trap Fenrir in the chain.

Fenrir remained imprisoned throughout the time of the Old World, but according to prophecy he will break free during Ragnarรถk to kill Odin, the supreme god. This act marks the end of the old world and the beginning of a new one. Often seen as a destructive force, Fenrir represents the inevitable fate and cycle of death and rebirth that characterizes the universe.
